Mohali: Volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party from Mohali, Kharar and Kurali have come forward openly in favour of ex convener, Sucha Singh Chhotepur who was removed by Delhi high command on Friday.
In a meeting held at party’s Mohali office in sector 70 under the leadership of zonal coordinator Anandpur Sahib JS Dhaliwal, volunteers collectively raised their voice in support of Chhotepur and demanded his reinstatement.
Volunteers announced that they will not support Aam Aadmi Party’s official candidate Himmat Singh Shergill from Mohali constituency. Dhaliwal claimed that high command of AAP composed of Arvind Kejriwal, Sanjay Singh, Durgesh Pathak were anti Punjabi and anti Sikh.
Dhaliwal blamed that Arvind Kejriwal is not ready to listen anything and he is least interested to listen up the grievances of volunteers. On the questions of fielding independent candidate against Shergill, Dahliwal said that we will take next step after getting views and opinions from volunteers.
Meanwhile Dhaliwal didn’t deny of possibilities of independent candidate against Himmat Singh Shergill as well as from all over Punjab. Dhaliwal said, “Chotepur is a victim of dirty politics and this manipulation is done by Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak .” NRI Pardeep Sharma who was present in meeting blamed AAP’s high command for not only cheating people of Punjab but NRI’s also. “We are Punjabis and we will not allow people from UP and Bihar to influx their culture in our veins,” added Sharma. However, Chottepur did not respond to calls or reverted back.
