Chandigarh: Gurugram Gladiators lifted the title of Haryana Premier League as they defeated Sirsa Warriors in the final played at Cricket Stadium, Sector-16, Chandigarh. Sirsa won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, Gladiators did not have the expected start as Amrjeet Sinngh was sent back with just 11 runs on board. Amarjeet looked in hurry to score but was run out by Harsh Kumar before doing further damage. For the second wicket Ankush Dhariwal and Bhagminder put up 20 runs stand. But Krishan broke the dangerous looking partnership as he claimed Dhariwal for individual score of 13 runs. Next batsmen in Subham Chand was claimed by Krishan on the very next ball. 27 runs stand between Shasya Jawal and Bhagminder raised the hopes of Gladiators but the two partners were sent back to pavilion in quick succession. Bagminder made 30 runs before being claimed by Krishan. While Jamwal was claimed by Naved Hussain for 13 runs. The tail was removed by Pardeep who claimed three wickets.
Chasing the total Sirsa openers added 15 runs. Kapil Kumar was the first one to depart. Even after playing nine balls he was not able to open his account. The next wicket fell at the score of 29 runs. Opener Talwinder Singh was claimed by Bhagminder when he was batting at 20 runs. For the third wicket Prince Mehra and Sarul Kanwa added 25 runs The partnership was broken by Vikas Uchitra when claimed Mehra at 16 runs. After that no Sirsa player was able to hold the wicket. A lower middle order and lower order collapse saw Sirsa bundled out at 106 runs in 19 overs. For the bowling side Vikas Uchitra was highest wicket taker. He claimed three wickets for 27 runs in four overs. Other to achieve success was Aman Bharti, Sandeep Singh and Bhagminder who claimed 2 wickets each.
