Fatehgarh Sahib: Dr R K Sharma, Executive Director of the Continental Group of Institutes, asked the students to show hard work, dedication and commitment in whatever tasks come their way in life and be the winner. He said that the outgoing students must have a clear vision and mission as they are entering the most important phase of their life and wished them success and accomplishments in all their future endeavours. Prof Tanvir Singh Gill, principal of the Continental College of Higher Studies, Jalvehra Fatehgarh Sahib asserted that the outgoing students should carry forward the morals given by their alma mater and make these values a base of their future actions and thoughts.
Both D R Sharma and Prof Tanvir Singh were speaking at farewell function to bid adieu to the final year students of various departments of the college on Thursday. The event was presided over by Dr R K Sharma, Executive Director of the Continental Group of Institutes. Prof Tanvir Singh lauded the efforts of the staff and students for making the farewell party memorable.

A cultural programme was also held in which R J Karan of 92.7 BIG FM, Punjabi singers Pretty V, Gurjas Sidhu, R-Nait, Shavi Singh and Manna Maan also performed. R J Karan had a fun filled interactive session with the students and singers sung their popular and new tracks which had the crowd in raptures.
The programme commenced with the lamp-lighting ceremony by the campus director, which was followed by the ‘Ganesh Vandana’.
The evening saw the crowning of Kashish as Miss Farewell and Supinder was adjudged Mr Farewell whereas Miss Gorgeous and Mr Handsome titles were accorded to Ratinderpal and Lovepreet respectively.
Manpreet Singh of MBA 2nd was awarded with cash prizes and a trophy for winning 3 gold and one silver medals in inter college competition. The Students Council representatives Ratinderpal Kaur and Pankaj were felicitated with mementoes.
In the end, in a nostalgic speech, Infosys Ltd. placed student, Lovepreet Singh, thanked the organisers for such a warm farewell.
