City schools celebrate birth anniversary; Guru Gobind Singh
Ludhiana: Various city schools have celebrated the 350 Birth Anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, founder of Khalsa Panth with great religious fervor, enthusiasm and gaiety.
Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar celebrated this day to assert the values, morals, principles and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh. The pious day commemorated with obeisance to the holy soul and Shabad Gayan by the students of the school in which the students participated with zeal and enthusiasm keeping the sanctity and divinity of the day alive. The Principal of the school, Jyoti while wishing ‘Happy Gurupurab,’ explained the main teachings of Sri Guru Gobind Singh.
Green Land Convent School, Dugri also celebrated the eve with devotion and great religious sanctity. A special assembly was conducted to mark the occasion. The assembly commenced with the soul stirring Shabad Gayan ‘MitarPyare Nu…’ which was sung by the school choir. The Students were given an insight into the life of Guru Gobind Singh, his teachings and philosophy. Students delivered speeches and recited poems related to life of Guru Gobind Singh.
The President, Chain of Green Land Schools, Shabad Rudhra bestowed his best wishes on this pious occasion. The School Director, Vijayata advised the students to follow the path of Guru with utmost sincerity, citing the example that how the sons of Guru obeyed the order of their father and sacrificed themselves.
BVM (USN) celebrated the birth anniversary of saint warrior in the morning assembly with devotion and sanctity. The celebration that commenced with the prayer ‘De Shiva Var Mohe……’ was followed by the enlightening speech of Chahatpreet (VIII) focusing on the austere and selfless life of the great Guru.
Principal Bandana Sethi extended greetings on this auspicious eve and Mandeep Kaur (TGT Punjabi) also inspired the students to follow the path of sacrifice and truthfulness shown by the tenth Guru and observe his sermons in their life.
