Ludhiana police commissioner says transfer ownership second hand vehicles within month. The police chief has issued an order that asks locals to transfer ownership of any vehicle within a month of its purchase or resale. Police commissioner cited the rising crime in the city as a reason for this necessity. He said criminal elements bought second-hand vehicles but did not get them transferred on their name. “Crime is executed using such vehicles. Later, police faces problems in nabbing them.Dhoke also extended the ban on tinted windowpanes in vehicles. He said some people have pasted black film on their windows. Following the strict guidelines of the Supreme Court, police commissioner prohibited the use of black film.Police commissioner also banned the consumption of alcohol in the open at handcarts, dhabas, other shops and other public places.Dhoke also banned the bursting of firecrackers on the road. The police chief said it people burst crackers outside marriage palaces and hotels during weddings. He further said such acts led to a traffic jam and endangered the lives of commuters and guests. Traffic jams also became a major problem for commuters while celebrating outside marriage palaces and hotels.The police chief also issued orders to owners and managers of hotels, guest houses and inns to keep a check on proper identification of guests before renting out a room to them. He said some people booked rooms by providing wrong information and room was used for illegal activities.
