Ludhiana: Valentine day is a day of love not only for partners and couples rather its a day of spreading the happiness with expressing affection.City residents celebrated this day with their families, friends and little toddlers to spread the love and to built up good connections and relationships with people around us. The trend of celebrating this day has changed from the couple celebrating this day rather has taken a turn towards celebrating it with friends and family. Having a strong and united bond is seen in this celebration.
While talking to a newly wed couple Arti and Sumit said, “It was our first valentine and we decided to make this day special by celebrating it with our family. From morning to evening, we spend whole day by visiting different places and making each other feel special. We really had a good time as we all shared thoughts with each other. This is what makes this day complete with family.”
Aman Sachdeva a housewife said, “I celebrated this day in morning with my friends and then we were already having a family plan for outing as its a day of spreading love with friends and family which completes me.”
It is a day when people around us show love, friendship and affection. Its time to appreciate friends, families and partners in some social circles and cultures. The toddlers in playway school in the city were seen enjoying valentine day as a day of love for parents and teachers and making kids aware about the true meaning of friendship and uniting bonds with each other. Megha a parent said,” We really appreciate playway schools for celebrating this day.
As valentine day is a day of spreading love and adoring love to our loved ones it can be our family and our friends. Many schools celebrated this day with their blooming buds dressed up in joyful colors. Special handmade cards were prepared by students to give to their parents and on behalf of the school they even presented the crafted cards to students to impart their love to them. Day was well celebrated with the peppy beats and balloon blowing of different colors in sky.”
Ruchika Arora Principal Cherubs School said, “Valentines’ day is all about telling your loved ones how much you love them. Toddlers can’t speak volumes to express their love. They can only kiss or hug to show their love.” Apart from couples in red, the kids were also seen dressed up in red in markets and were seen enjoying with their friends. Even the city restaurants did not let a chance go to woo their customers with some special lunch and dinner discounted deals.
