Mohali: Ex-Deputy Commissioner and now candidate for SAD and BJP, Capt T P S Sidhu had a public meeting at Amb Sahib Colony in Mohali Assembly constituency where he expressed his views that voters must choose their candidate on the basis of their education and performance.
While address the gathering, Capt Sidhu said that changing trend in political scene of Punjab is witnessing a lot of new things with change in competition, change in education status of voters, change in average age of the voters that is going to have impact on the poll outcome.
Sidhu said, “Voters here are more or less of urban and semi urban areas where 60 per cent live in Mohali and 40 per cent in the rural areas. Mohali has seen overall development, air connectivity, road network, industry; building up infrastructure in all corners of Mohali, thus city is ready to be one of the north India’s well planned industrialcities. Although much is to be added to make it a metro in next few years, and for that coordination of the Central and state government is a must in shaping up city .”
He further added that, now the voters are looking for the face value of the candidates and coming to him and offering wishes beyond the party lines, religion and age. It’s time we choose the right person who has the plan and knows the local issues as well.
He said that electors are looking for a candidate who has good education, is without crime record and has better family background and occupation.
