TPS Sidhu is the son-in-law of RS member Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa
Chandigarh: The Shiromani Akali Dal on Tuesday announced 1989-batch Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officer Tejinder Singh Sidhu as party candidate from Mohali assembly constituency.
It is pertinent to mention that Daily Post had reported the expected moved in its Tuesday edition after learning Sidhu tendered his resignation on Monday. Sidhu is the son-in-law of Rajya Sabha member Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.
Sidhu was inducted into the IAS group in 2012 and has already remained posted at Mohali as Deputy Commissioner. He was recently serving as Secretary of the Punjab Mandi Board from where he tendered his resignation after the party leadership informally approved his candidature from Mohali. Sidhu was otherwise supposed to retire after two years.
