Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party has made new disclosures about irrigation and power minister Rana Gurjit Singh. AAP Chief Whip and MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira made another blaim on Rana Gurjeet Singh regarding the,land purchased by him ,in the village Seonk comes under the Chandigarh constituency of 142 kanals of shamlat (Hasb Rajat)on his own name and names have been lodged and 458 Kanal Girdawar have been imposed on his brother Rana Ranjit Singh and sister in law Sukhjinder Kaur.Talking to the media in the press conference, Mr. Khaira said that Rana Gurjeet Singh has violated the Punjab Consolidated Land Holding Act 2007 passed by the Legislative Assembly under political influence. He said that under the section 42 A of the Act, the land under Shamlaat can not be sold or purchased. However, Rana Gurjeet Singh had his servant On the basis of the power of attorney received by Kulwinderpal Singh,land transfer has been named after his family.He demanded for the proper inquiry and investigation of the land purchased under sand mines bidding by him ,and of village Gaikwad to be examined by a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.and said that on the basis of ethics, Rana Gurjeet Singh should resign. Khaira said that Rana Gurjit Singh came not to serve in politics but to do a business. He said that Rana Sugar Mills in Uttar Pradesh has to pay the lacs of lakhs of rupees to the farmers.Khaira said that on the said land, the family of Rana Gurjeet Singh has also taken a loan of around Rs. 109 crore on Union Bank of India. He said that according to the collector rate, the rate of land of village Seonk is Rs 2.50 lakh per acre, by the Connivance of bank officials have got a loan of crores of rupees. He said that if the government did not investigate the entire matter then he would file a complaint with the CBI.
