Chandigarh:The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a circular to all the schools affiliated to it. In the circular, the board has mentioned that the revised instructions on exemptions or concessions are being extended to the differently abled candidates for the Classes X & XII examinations conducted by the CBSE and the Standard Operating Procedure.
The board has mentioned that it is extending several exemptions or concessions to spastic visually impaired, physically handicapped, dyslexic, autistic and candidates with disabilities as defined in the Persons With Disabilities Act, 1995. Meanwhile, the instructions have already been circulated to the schools on the website of the board from time to time.
The board has mentioned that all such revised instructions, exemptions, and concessions in a consolidated form are enclosed for the convenience of all stakeholders. The Standard Operating Procedure for schools and Regional Offices of the CBSE has also been prescribed. The application format for students or wards to avail the exemptions has also been attached along with the application.
