Chandigarh, June 10 ,Soon after Power and Irrigation Minister Rana Gurjit Singh’s links with Amit Bahadur and Balraj Singh’s companies came to the fore, names of both of them disappeared from the board of directors of two companies. Bahadur and Balraj two of Rana Gurjit’s four employees who bagged mining contracts (although Balraj backed out when it came to depositing 55 per cent of the bidding amount) were directors of three companies, Flawless Traders, Century Agros and RJ Texfab. These companies were linked with minister’s family as one company was registered at the same address from where the family manages its business and two companies share the email address of Rana Gurjit’s companies. Besides, one of these companies had also extended a loan to the minister.Citing “unavoidable reasons”, Balraj resigned on May 30 as director of two companies , Flawless Traders and Rana Sugar & Power. And on June 2, he resigned from Century Agros, citing the same reason. He is still continuing as a director of RJ Texfab.Similarly, Bahadur, who was getting a salary of Rs 11,000 per month and astonished everyone by bagging a Rs 26-crore mining contract, also claimed to have resigned as director of Flawless Traders and Century Agros on March 21, citing “unavoidable reasons”.Information from the Registrar of Companies confirmed that it received such documents on May 29.
