VHP, Bajrang Dal Distribute Trishul Gujarat protect cows fight Love Jihad. According to the sources, 75 youths were given trishuls by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal at the Trishul Diksha programme in Gandhinagar, On Monday.The reasons cited by the right wing organisation for handing out the weapons were fighting “love jihad” and protecting cows. The fringe group has organised a Trishul Diksha programme once every month in the last five months in the state capital.In the six programmes held so far, 700 trishuls have been given away.
Shaktisinh Zala, the Gandhinagar Bajrang Dal president, called the trishul a symbol of confidence and power of Lord Shiva. Virendrasinh Yadav, the Gandhinagar Superintendent of Police, established the rules being the same for everyone and no one being above the law.1,100 youths are expected to attend a mammoth Trishul Diksha programme at Kalol on 20 June, expected to organize by two fringe groups.
