Chandigarh:Popular Punjabi singer-turned-politician Jasraj Longia aka Jassi Jasraj is back in Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as he tendered an unconditional apology to the party national convener Arvind Kejriwal and others, including volunteers. Jasraj was expelled from AAP for six years for his anti-party activities last year.
In a video released on social media, Kejriwal welcomed Jassi Jasraj to AAP, while Jassi confessed his past mistakes and pledged to work within party guidelines. AAP Punjab affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh also welcomed Jasraj.
Among others, Durgesh Pathak and Kanwar Sandhu were also seen in the video footage that was recorded after a detailed meeting between all of them held here on Wednesday night. The video exposed how eagerly Jasraj was willing to rejoin a party which he had condemned him on different platforms in the past eight months.
“I committed so many mistakes but Kejriwal’s heart is so big that he pardoned me,” said Jassi, adding further, “This past eight months’ period was a training period for me during which I learnt a lot about politics.”
“I am a true soldier of AAP and if I uttered rubbish against the partymen or their working style, it was all my anguish which I failed to hold back,” said Jasraj.
