At the young age of just 19 when most of the youngsters are confused with their respective field of interests. Akshay Ruparelia, 19, has become one of Britain’s youngest millionaires with his real estate company which has total valued of 12 million pounds (Rs. 1,03,28,95,875) with in just one year.
His real estate company doorsteps.co.uk, has managed to become the 18th biggest estate agency in the UK.
Akshay started his company by borrowing £7000 from his relatives and today, employs 12 people. It offers to sell properties for a fraction of the cost charged by established high street estate agents. Where traditional estate agents charge thousands of pounds in commission to sell a house – and he does it for just £99, as reported in Mirror.
During the initial phases of his business, Akshay hired a call centre to answer his work calls while he was at school. He would return the calls after his classes.
Akshay is child of deaf parents. His father, 57-year-old Kaushik Ruparelia, is a care worker and his mother, 51-year-old Renuka, is a teaching assistant for deaf children and a support worker for deaf children with the Camden Council in London.
Akshay also earned an offer to study economics and mathematics at Oxford, but he decided to put that on hold to focus on his business instead.
