On April 24 last month, four Sikhs were arrested in Rajasthan’s Ajmer district, in which three people were arrested including the Sarpanch of village Chanpura and a police constable has also been removed.This action has been done by Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh after Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Sindia was asked to take personal action in the matter. In addition to Captain SGPC, DSGMC and Akali leaders, letters were sent to Chief Minister Sindia for justice.Nirmal Singh, one of the four victims, said that he went to village Chanpura to take Dasvand to Langar of Khairththal Guru in Alwar district. But the villagers cursed them and beat them brutally. The assailants continued to be in the presence of the police constables.Even the police constable told the villagers to do nothing on their heads but to teach them all a lesson. After the incident, the village sarpanch sent fodder to the police for registering complaints against the villagers against the village women. They were released by police a day later. According to Nirmal Singh, the police had refused to register a complaint from them but now after investigating the matter on social media, the matter has been investigated to Ajmer’s ADSP (Rural).
