Unprecedented security measures have been put in place and authorities have decided to suspend Amarnath yatra and enforce curfew-like restrictions in Kashmir on the first death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani on Saturday.The first death anniversary of Burhan is being observed in the Valley tomorrow. Burhan, 22, was killed in an encounter with security forces in south Kashmir’s Kokernag area on July 8 last year.In view of this, strict security arrangements have been made in entire Jammu and Kashmir today. In view of security, the administration has also stayed the Amarnath yatra for one day. Education institutions and social media have also been banned.
