The company said that while using Fulfilment by Amazon, the sellers send their products to Amazon’s fulfilment centre and Amazon picks the product from its store when it’s ordered by someone and this result in the early and fast delivery of a product. This centre will act as storage for electronic products, smartphones, laptops, kitchen appliances, beauty products, household supplies, etc. So, the centre is expected to fulfil all the demands of such products by the customers. These FCs are also equipped with temperature controlled zones to store perishable items like fruits, vegetables, dairy products, etc. So, the centre will be capable of storing all kind of products. The centre will also provide support to local economy by increasing businesses like hospitality, transportation, packaging, etc. AkhilSaxena, Vice President, Customer Fulfilment, Amazon India said that “With the launch of our largest fulfilment centre in Haryana, we now have a storage capacity of more than five million cubic feet in the state. The FC will enable sellers to use the local infrastructure, save capital and help them grow.” The centre is a part of plan by the company under which it announced to open 67 operational fulfilment centres in 13 states across the country. Amazon India aims to have a combined storage space of close to 20 million cubic feet by end of this year according to its plan.
