Gurdaspur: The Border Security Force (BSF) sleuths seized five packets of heroin worth Rs 25 crore in Gurdaspur on Wednesday.
According to the sources, during wee hours of morning, the BSF troops observed some suspicious movement near the Chautra border out post (BoP) of two Pakistanis across the fencing and opened rounds of fire through night vision devices.
The smugglers disappeared into the darkness when the BSF troops tried to catch them. Also, one Indian who was involved in the smuggling fled away from the area.
Later in the morning, BSF sleuths after inspecting the surroundings of the area, recovered 5 packets of heroin worth 25 crore.
