Jalandhar: Newly appointed Aam Admi Patry (AAP) Punjab convener Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi on Wednesday took a dig at former AAP state convener Sucha Singh Chottepur and said that as he has grown old, he should go on ‘Yatra’.
Ghuggi was referring to the recently started ‘Parivartan Yatra’ of Chottepur in the election bound state. “Sucha Singh Chottepur was an elderly man, hence he should definitely go on a ‘Yatra’ and meet people”, he said.
The stand up comedian turned AAP politician was given a rousing welcome by the party workers at the PAP Chowk from where he headed to Shri Darbar Sahib to pay obeisance after taking the charged of state convener. Ghuggi had a brief halt at Jalandhar before leaving for Amritsar in the morning.
Amidst party workers, Ghuggi said that AAP was all set to form the next government in Punjab and that is why he was given such a big responsibility.
Talking about ex- BJP leader Navjot Singh Sidhu’s new political outfit ‘Aawaaz-E-Punjab’, which would be formally launched tomorrow in Chandigarh, Ghuggi said in Hindi, “Kal naam Kaal ka hai, Kal ayega to dekhenge (Tomorrow is the name of future, let it come, we will see).”
On this occasion, Ghuggi was accompanied by AAP leaders Aatam Parkash Singh, Baljit Singh Ahluwalia, HS Walia and councilor Darshan Singh Bhagat among others.
