Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) trained their guns against their party MLA for defaming the party face and filed the defamation case against Devinder Sehrawat in Chandigarh court, on Friday. While providing the information, AAP leader Himmat Singh Shergill said that besides this they have also filed the defamation case against HS Kingra and Pavitar Singh.
AAP MLA Devendra Sehrawat had written the letter to party chief Arvind Kejriwal warning him that from Punjab to Delhi, several leaders of the party are exploiting women in the name of allotting them tickets.
He mentioned that in order to maintain the reputation of the party, the ouster of such anti-social elements is important. MLA Sehrawat asserted that it is not just hearsay, he had conducted a meeting in Chandigarh following complaints of misbehaviour with females.
When the incidents were investigated, it came to light that the complaints were valid. The leaders of AAP in Delhi are unaware about the doings of MLAs including Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak in Punjab. He has called for an inquiry in the issue.
