In past two weeks, sixth fire incidents reported in city, Ludhiana popularly known as Manchester of India but most of the fire incident reported mostly in factories. According to the factory owners, goods around worth Rs 10 crore were burnt into ashes. Chemical and oil furnaces factory kindle into the fire after the oil flooded tank fall down on motor in chemical factory.
Two factories including chemical and furnaces and four godowns located in Cheema Chowk were gutted. Panic was gripped on the spot as numerous of people gathered when fire kindle ion the factory. According to the factory owners, fire tenders reached the sport after 35 minutes.
Before this, many fire incidents were recorded in the city. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and fire tenders from different districts also reached the spot immediately. Importantly one polythene factory was also engulfed with fire. However Punjab government has stated a ban over the manufacturing of polythene but still factory is running under the nose of authorities.
