Rajpura: Three people, including two women, were killed and another seriously injured in a road accident at Nepra village situated on Rajpura-Chandigarh road on Monday. According to police, the accident took place when the two motorcycles ridden by the deceased collided with a mini bus near Nepra village. Police post Jasuan in-charge, ASI Joginder Singh said that the deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Sanjay Kumar, Rama Rani and Suman, both aged 20 years. They were cousins and were coming from Faridpur village to Rajpura, the ASI said.
The mini bus which belongs to Gayan Sagar Hospital collided with the motorcycles at Nepra village, said the ASI. He said that all the three died on the way when they were being brought to the hospital. The injured has been identified as Rajiv Kumar of, a resident of Saidpur village of Dera Bassi. The injured has been admitted to the hospital, the ASI said. The police have registered a case against the bus driver under section 279, 337, 304 and 427 of the IPC. Search is on for the bus driver as he had fled after the accident.
