GST impact Leather traders protested Government. Ludhiana: Leather traders protested against the government in Phillaur against GST on leather. He said that if their demands were not accepted till Saturday, the dead bodies of animals would be thrown in government offices on Sunday.Yashpal Ginda, chairman of Ambedkar Ladder Association, said, “We picked up dirt of people. And people live comfortably. It seems that the Central Government does not accept that people live comfortably. That’s why government brought GST on us.He said that on one hand the government gives slogan to Swachh Bharat and on the other hand it does not respect those who clear the dirt of society. He said that now no trader will buy leather or any dead animals. He said that these dead animals spread diseases. Now the government will responsible for spreading these disease.It is to be mentioned that the government has implemented GST in the past. It is being opposed by many businessmen in the country. Now the leather traders have come out against this.
