New Delhi: Refined soya oil rose by 0.40 percent to Rs 691.95 per 10 kg in futures trading today as traders engaged in widening their bets, tracking a firm trend at spot market on strong demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in March went up by Rs 2.75, or 0.40 per cent, to Rs 691.95 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 46,470 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in February was trading higher by Rs 2.15, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 704.10 per 10 kg in 22,860 lots.
Analysts said expanding of positions by participants, driven by upsurge in demand in the spot market against tight stock position on fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly kept refined soya oil prices higher at futures trade.
