Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh spoke on the behalf of state about SYL issue and some other issues in a meeting with Union Minister Uma Bharti. Senior officials of the state were also present in this meeting.According to information, state Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh held a further meeting in the evening with the officials of the Central Government regarding water resources. In which the case of the SYL was discussed for which hearing will be held in the Supreme Court on July 11.The Chief Minister of Punjab had said that he met with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh earlier and joint meeting will be held of both the states and central government officials before the hearing in the Supreme Court, in which the issue of river waters will be discussed and solution will be found.Amarinder Singh may meet tomorrow with Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, which will discuss some issues including expansion in the Punjab cabinet. Captain would have to stay in New Delhi till July 10, but due to a program for Presidential nominee Meira Kumar coming to Chandigarh on July 9, he will reach Chandigarh on July 9.
