Chandigarh: Total number of confirmed cases of Dengue in tricity has reached up to 215. Mohali has recorded 176 cases with maximum number of dengue cases in tricity, followed by Chandigarh, which has reported 24 confirmed cases so far. Panchkula has recorded 15 cases of dengue till now.
According to Dr Avtar singh of civil hospital Mohali there are total 176 dengue cases reported in Mohali district till date. 75 cases are in Mohali City, 30 cases in Zirakpur, 22 cases in Kharar, rest are from other surrounding areas.
He informed that Health Department’s teams are surveying door to door and fogging in suspected areas. Total 30 workers are on this duty. 15 daily wages workers are on duty of spray. He advised public to wear full sleeves clothes, extra cautions for coolers and mosquitoes.
He advised that anyone having a fever must come to hospital for check up instead of considering that normal viral. Free Dengue tests are done at civil hospital Mohali.
On Tuesday, a 22-year-old patient identified as Rani, resident of Jind, was 37 weeks pregnant and suffered from high fever died at PGI on Tuesday morning.
