Chandigarh: Investigating the JBT-TGT teachers recruitment scam, the Chandigarh Police have identified more than 50 scam beneficiaries and most of them are employed at present in Chandigarh.
Meanwhile, the police have sent reports to the concerned departments where the beneficiaries of the scam are functioning, however, a few of them have already filed anticipatory bail applications in a local court.
DSP UT Police Krishan Kumar said, “We have identified more than 50 beneficiaries in this case. We have written to the concerned departments and asked for details of the persons.”
The Police are scrutinising details of the beneficiaries and as their involvement is confirmed, they would be booked and arrested, added the DSP.
The police teams have also left to Patna to arrest Sanjay Kumar who is wanted in the scam. Kumar’s name was revealed by one of the conduits Bijender Nain who has been already arrested by the UT police.
The police have also learnt that Sanjay Kumar from Patna had been arrested in the paper leak scam of Delhi police constable recruitment and railway employees in 2014 in Delhi.

The identity of two more junior basic teachers (JBT), who benefited from the leaked question paper and also arranged candidates for the paper, was established.
Nain of Sonipat was arrested from Bhiwani and remanded to four-day police custody on November 3. Following the disclosures of Nain, two other accused, Sandeep and Sampooran Singh, were arrested and both are in police remand along with Nain.
Sources said Nain, had been a teacher with a Sikh machinery school in Delhi, has been active in the field of providing leaked question paper to selective candidates since 2007.
He developed a strong network in Delhi, Sonipat and Panipat. Nain confessed to have accepted Rs 7 lakh from 25 candidates for providing them leaked question
