Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar keeping in mind ‘Raksha Bandhan’ announced new offerings for women police officials on the occasion of First Women Police Day.
For the first time, police squad comprising of women police officials from all over the region escorted Chief Minister’s vehicle to the venue. Women police bikers’ squad was fully dressed in their uniforms with proper head gears. The women squad created a khaki atmosphere all around the venue.
Following the function, CM announced 50 Police Control Room vehicles along with 100 two wheelers for Women Police Stations. While addressing the event, CM said that there is a facility of zero FIR and police portal round the clock for people.
He also highlighted that CM window has been initiated and he has relieved complaints against erring police officials. According to officials, there were around 25, 754 cases registered at Women Police Stations out of which 95 per cent cases have been solved and cleared.
CM stated that the need for Women helpline is required in every region following which he will set up women help desk at every zone and region in Haryana.
CM also felicitated women police officials who have done a commendable job from last one year. A book ‘Law related to Crime against women and children’ written by an Indian Police Services officer, Himanshu Garg was also launched on the occasion.
