Panchkula:Padma Shri awardee Anup Jalota will perform at the Mansa Devi Temple this Navratras, disclosed officials of the Shrine Board following a negative response from actress Hema Malini for the second time in a row.
He has been invited to perform during the Navratra celebrations which are to be held from March 28 to April 5. The other artistes who will be performing are Anuradha Podwal and Saroja Vaidyanathan.
The preparations are on, but the two elevators being built are unlikely to be completed by these Navratras. One of the two lifts which will carry 30 persons has been designed for specially-abled people. The Mansa Devi Shrine Board CEO said, “The lifts will take another month to complete, but work of widening the ‘parikrama’ and the renovation of stairs will be completed in time.”
The board is spending Rs 64 lakh for the Navratra celebrations. A total of 16 nakas will be set up by the police and security will be tightened. In all 110 buses, including 70 by the CTU and 40 by Haryana Roadways, will help people reach the temple. Also, 10 autorickshaws will be available to ferry visitors for free.
Meanwhile, during navratras, the CM would lay the foundation stone for an Ayush centre which is coming up on 20-acre land in the temple complex.
