Chandigarh: Corridors of Punjab Civil Secretariat are filled with the aroma of flowers with scores of visitors , carrying bouquets, dropping in from across the state to greet their elected representatives, here for the past couple of days. Lining up in long queues for a long time, at the main reception to get their entry pass made, do not pinch them.
Attired in white ‘kurta pajama’ and bright colorful turbans (some) the visitors hardly bother if certain flowers wither or any flower-buds drop down on the flour and get crushed.
Scores of such visitors were seen flocking offices of different ministers including the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh even in their absence too.
Carrying a well decorated huge bouquet, Ranjit Singh, a die-hard fan of Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal who had reached his office to the greet him, was disappointed when he came to know that the minister had been to Delhi along with the CM, on Wednesday.
Hiving a deep sigh, Singh said, “I had especially come to with Manpreet from Bathinda. Here I came to know that he along with CM has left for Delhi. I will go to his office and handover the bouquet to his assistant, now”.
Like Singh a number of other persons were seen shifting restlessly infront of the offices of different ministers at different flours of the secretariat making a delightful scene, there.
