Panchkula:The management at Civil Hospital, Sector 6 Panchkula has now been seeking some new infrastructural facilities for the patients admitted at Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of the hospital.
The special arrangements being proposed by the authorities include 6 electronic beds that will help the patients admitted at the unit to have proper movement on the bed. Informing about the new concept, Civil Surgeon Dr V K Bansal told that a meeting in this regard has been held with the health department and concerned officials.
He told that in the respective meeting, discussion on special arrangements at CCU and set up of cath lab took place.
In the meeting it was decided that six-new electronic beds will be swapped with the old manual ones in the coming month and the work regarding the cath lab will also be initiated soon.
The CCU ward situated at the third floor of the hospital has a total of six beds that are normal. At the time of adjusting the beds, patients and their attendants face difficulty and it has to be adjusted manually. Also the Civil Hospital lacks ventilator facility at the unit from past many years which is also a major drawback.
Three electronics beds installed at emergency
The hospital management at its emergency ward has recently made arrangements for the serious patients visiting the Civil Hospital by installing three electronic beds. These three beds are used mainly for serious accidental and cardio cases so that the patients do not face any problem during the time of movement.
