A resident of Sector 30, Chandigarh, has filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court accusing the officials of the Chandigarh Police for committing forgery on papers to take away his car involved in a finance dispute with the bank. However, the Bench adjourned the matter for February 13 to enable counsel for the UT to have instructions in this regard.The petitioner has sought directions be issued to DGP, SSP and SP (crime) to take appropriate legal action against the SHO, Industrial Area Police Station Z P Khan and other police officials after conducting fair and impartial inquiry into various representations submitted by the him (the petitioner) to senior officers.
The petitioner alleged the bank officials connived with the police officials, forged the signature of the SSP, UT and committed illegal seizure of his vehicle.Giving details, the petitioner said, on June 28, 2018, the police officials of Industrial Area police station along with two unidentified persons forcefully went to the house of his father at Sector 30 and informed his 70-year-old father that they have registered a case against his son (petitioner) and demanded the keys of his Skoda Rapid car. It is alleged in the petition that SI Parvinder and other accompanied him threatened the father of the petitioner.
