Chandigarh: Northern Railways have announced to restart three trains discontinued from the past two months due to late running of the rakes. Chandigarh-Amritsar Intercity Express and Jaipur-Chandigarh Intercity Express will start from February 16, said an official. The most awaited train Chandigarh-Amritsar Intercity has been re-introduced after a gap of two months.
Chandigarh-Jaipur intercity train will leave Chandigarh at 12 pm to reach Jaipur at 12.50 midnight.
Railway officials said that the train was discontinued following the late running of the rakes in the morning hours. The train will depart from Chandigarh in the evening at 5:10 pm and after stopping over at four station including Mohali, Ludhiana, Jallandhar and Beas the train will reach Amritsar at 9:25 pm.
Unchahaar Express, Chandigarh to Prayag Junction via Kanpur (14218) will depart from Chandigarh at 4:40 pm and after having 10 halts and 38 intermediate stations the train will reach Prayag junction on third day at 10:55 am. The train will also have a halt of 25 minutes at Kanpur junction where it reaches at 5:30 pm on the following day.
Chandigarh-Jaipur intercity express (19718) will depart from Chandigarh at 12:45 pm and will reach Jaipur at 12:50 midnight after 15 halts and crossing 78 intermediate stations. The train will follow the route from Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Narwana, Jind, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Rewari, Khairthal, Alwar, Rajgarh, Bandikui, Dausa and Jaipur.
