Chandigarh Literary Society (CLS) is organising a two-day creative writing workshop on May 28 and May 29. The workshop is being conducted in the precincts of Beant Singh Memorial in Sector 42, Chandigarh from 9:30 am till 4 pm, and the fee for participation is Rs 5,000.
Sumita Misra, Chairperson of CLS informed that having successfully conducted story writing, essay writing and slam poetry contests, CLS is organising this workshop for the school children in association with the Think Ink Hats. Think Ink Hats, promoted by a celebrated author Chandra Shekhar Varma had been holding similar workshops in schools across the country, who would be himself conducting the workshop, with local guest authors, Neel Kamal Puri, and Vivek Atray.
The workshop is open for the students of class 8th to 12th, and would benefit the children in learning the creative writing skills through hands-on workshop. Sumita Misra informed that all the stories that would be created during the workshop would be included in a special anthology of short stories that would be published by a well-known publisher, and the same would be released at the Lucknow Literary Festival, and later at the CLS’s Literati.
