Prof M S Sandhu, Head, Department of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging, PGI Hospital Chandigarh took over as the President of the Chandigarh Chapter of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association of India (IRIA) from Monday. Whereas, Prof Naveen Kalra has taken over as the General Secretary of the Association.
Prof Sandhu was one amongst the team of a few Radiologists who was instrumental in carving out the Chandigarh Chapter of Radiology from its parent Punjab and Chandigarh Branch a few years ago.Prof Sandhu was Patron of the Organizing Committee which had recently hosted the very successful 72nd Annual Conference of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association, held at PGI Chandigarh recently.
The Indian Radiology and Imaging Association was set up in 1931 in Calcutta and is a very active Association with currently over 16,000 Radiologist Members of the Association.
