Chandigarh:Mihir, a student of St Kabir Public School, Chandigarh has been chosen for Republic Day Parade unit of National Cadet Corps this year in New Delhi. Mihir has joined the Republic Day Camp already. Training hard at the camp in Delhi currently, Mihir is the only selected candidates from the city.
An overwhelmed Mihir states, “This is a dream come true. I have been regularly taking part in the cultural activities and
parade drills in school and at city levels representing my
school, but it is matter of celebration for me as I get the chance to represent on the National
Level.”
Sharing the selection procedure Gurpreet Bakshi, administrator of the school informed that every year around 36 lakh NCC students from all over India go to attend this camp and out of them 200 students are selected from five zones. The students then are sent to the pre-Republic Day camp organised in Chandigarh and out of 200 students, one candidate is selected.
