Panchkula: Civil Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula is facing electricity issues from the past two days because of a series of powercuts throughout the day.
Following this, the patients admitted in the hospital are facing various problems due to this and also there are few children admitted here in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) who are having certain health issues from the time of their birth and at the time of such situation the hospital do not have any back up and after spending a huge amount of money in the management process, the system has been in a state of collapse. The laboratory at the civil hospital which has also received NABH certificate is not working properly, as from the time of electricity issues prevailing in the hospital, the patients here have not get their tests done.
Following this, many patients have returned back without getting their issues solved. However, some of the patients have given their samples but they have not received the reports due to recurring electricity problem as the hospital staff states that due to electricity issue, samples have not been preceded further to which reports cannot be generated.
Various machines have not been working and are shut at the hospital following this issue which also includes machines like CT scan, ultrasound and x-ray machines. Till now the repair work related to this issue has not been worked out properly and on Sunday the repair work was still going on following which the machines at the hospital has not been in a working condition.
Meanwhile, the road heading towards Civil Hospital was occupied with electricity wires on Sunday as the repair work was being conducted there following which commuters, patients and ambulances had a tough time dealing with it as they had to opt for the other way to reach hospital.
