Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched Dakshin Bharat Darshan Yatra train with a 13-day tour package covering seven tourist prominence cities of three south Indian states. The fare per person has been decided at Rs 10,870, inclusive of meals. The train is slated to leave Chandigarh Railway Station on August 22, comprising 12 coaches of sleeper class (2Tier) non-AC at 5 pm.
IRCTC Chief Regional Manager (North) Gulshan Kumar said, “We have started bookings for Dakshin Bharat Darshan Yatra train departing Chandigarh station at 5 pm on August 22. It will be covering seven cities in south India in the 13-day trip.
He said that the package will include confirmed train tickets, sightseeing, accommodation in non-AC dormitories, non-AC road transfers, vegetarian food, besides facilities of security guards, tour escorts and housekeeping. The train will cover prominent tourist destinations like Tirupati, Rameshwaram, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Kovalam, Trivendram, and Cochin.
The package Dakshin Bharat Darshan via Jaipur for south India will be of 12 nights and 13 days (August 22 to September 3) and will take passengers through Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Delhi Cantt, Rewari, and Jaipur. The package will cost Rs 10,870 per head.
