Chandigarh: A delegation of 65 participants from 26 countries visited Panjab University(PU) on Wednesday. The delegation included senior government officials and civil servants from developing countries.
These delegates have a mission to inculcate entrepreneurial culture in their societies. The purpose of the visit to Panjab University was to discuss the opportunities to develop professional relationship with these countries so as to impart quality education and to explore possibilities of exchange programmes. Welcoming the delegates, Prof Arun K Grover, Vice Chancellor highlighted that PU has additional seats available for international students in all its programme as well as special international hostel to cater to their needs.
He exhorted the delegation to be the brand ambassadors of PU in their own countries so as to further strengthen educational tie-ups. He traced the unique character of the university and numerous accolades PU has been bestowed globally.
The group leader Dr RR Singh, Director, NIESBUD, New Delhi applauded PU and its contributions in the domain of education, research and nurturing entrepreneurship as well as warm hospitality. Prof Deepti Gupta, Dean International Students outlined the single window system to address the needs and queries of international students and to facilitate their admissions as well as comfortable stay at PU.
