A family living in Kurali town of Mohali district is fed up with repeated thefts, particularly at their house, has decided to leave their agnatic residence. Head of the family Navreet Singh Maan on Saturday met the SSP Mohali regarding this issue.
Navreet has given an explanatory resentment letter to the SSP saying that they are the residents of House No. 257, Ward No. 17 in Kurali, Kharar tehsil of Mohali district. In the letter, Navreet has explained all the theft incidents. Blaming the Kurali Police, he accused the police of not performing their duties properly and every time he went to the concerned police officials, they did not even give the copy of an FIR.

But nothing concrete happened for the last one and half years.” Through the letter, Navreet and his wife accused the Kurali police of not helping them. It was alleged that due to these incidents, their younger son is living under terror and is under treatment. “We have to leave our own property in our own city just because of poor performance of the Kurali police. Now the family has moved to Chandigarh in Sector 44 on rent. We have suffered monetary loss as well as loss of reputation and peace of mind.”
“It is either the policemen are not capable of performing their duty or they may have some mala fide intention for nott taking our matter seriously.” Navreet told Daily Post that they could not get a copy of FIR of any of the thefts till date. The recent theft was attempted on August 11, 2016, even after they had shifted to Chandigarh on August 1, 2016..When matter was taken up with Mohali SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, he said, “ I have ordered the concerned officers to look into the matter.”
