Dera Bassi: Dera Bassi police have booked four persons in attempt to murder case on charge of firing at a 27-year-old Dalbir Singh at village Haripur Kuran on Wednesday.
Three empty shells, one live cartridge and one pistol was recovered from the spot yesterday. Police recovered a Ford Figo car, being used by assailants in the crime. A case under Arms Act and under Sections 307, 341, 427, 148, and 149 of the IPC had been registered against group leader Bhupi Rana and his three unknown accomplices on complaint of Investigation Officer, ASI Ramesh Lal.
It may be recalled that Dalbir Singh had gone to meet his friend at vilage Haripur Kuran on Wednesday afternoon. On his way back, a group of four armed youths intercepted Dalbir’s car and opened fire following which he sustained three bullet injuries on his arm and stomach.
Dlabir Singh was rushed to PGI, Chandigarh in a critical condition where during operation the doctors wrerable to remove three bullets from his body.
Deepinder Singh, SHO, Dera Bassi said that the police is investigating the matter and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
