Chandigarh: UT Administrator cum Governor of Punjab, V P Singh Badnore desires to install sculptures of peacocks, animals and women with cup plates as replica of Rock Garden at Raj Bhawan. Badnore in this regard also paid a visit to Rock Garden recently. He was accompanied by Anuj Kumar, son of the curator of Rock Garden Nek Chand.
Anuj said that Bandore was very curious to see the colourful structures created out of the waste bangles giving shape of Peacock and other birds. He was also amazed to see the women carrying cup plates in serving mode and directed the UT Engineering Wing to prepare the place for putting up of such sculptures in Raj Bhawan.
UT has also identified place on the left side while entering the main gate of Raj Bhawan to put up the sculptures. Anuj said, “Governor has asked to prepare such sculptures and we will start the work as UT Engineering Department Chief engineer Mukesh Anand said, “We had paid a visit to Rock Garden along with Governor V P Singh Badnore where he has selected some of the sculptures to be installed at Raj
Engineering department has been directed to prepare the bed on the left side during the entry to the Raj Bhawan for installing the sculptures. The work will be started very soon.”
Badnore was very much impressed by the workmanship of Nek Chand for creating the wonder of the world and said that such places give inspiration to work out one’s imagination, said Anuj.
