Chandigarh: In view of the hype created at city government hospitals, finally, for the first time, the UT Health Department has formed a committee to investigate all the cases of medical negligence. The committee will also investigate the recent alleged cases of medical negligence in the city hospitals
Notably, in last one week, many cases of medical negligence have been reported at various government hospitals in Chandigarh. To deal with such cases, so far the Health Department had no mechanism in place to examine such complaints. Therefore, keeping that in mind, a four-member committee has been constituted.
Meanwhile, anyone who has a grievance of medical negligence against any government owned health facility in Chandigarh can move an application to the member Secretary of the committee.
