Chandigrah: Home Minister Rajnath Singh on the occassion of silver jubilee of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) 32 Chandigarh will be inagurating first-of-its-kind academic block, known as E-Block on Friday.

The hospital E Block will be having a medical college building with more classrooms, library and scattered laboratories. Also the Block E, which will essentially be an academic block, will house all pre and para clinical departments of the GMCH-32 in addition to lecture rooms and laboratories.

Notably, new academic block, work has been constructed at a cost of Rs 80 crore and is spread in about 44 thousand sq meter area.

Menahwle, few days back UT Home-cum-Health Secretary Anurag Agarwal today visited the GMCH-32 to inspect the newly built academic block

The E-Block includes nine floors, including two basements and an underground parking lot. The building also includes seven departments, one on each floor. Classes of MBBS and MD courses will be held in the new academic block.

The Block also comprises of has faculty, uilitiy, store rooms, alsong with nursing spaceAC plant, and a canteen.
