Panchkula: As Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij visited the Panchkula Civil Hospital at Sector 6 on Thursday for inaugurating the Dialysis Centre, the hospital management then had cleared the dumping area near the centre and had shifted all the raw material including iron grills, angles and other infrastructural tools of the hospital to the old building of the hospital.
Earlier the raw material placed right near the entrance of the hospital. As and when the lash city, the place use to turn into a bad shape with water logged on the way to the Dialysis Centre thus posing a threat of infection for the patients. The previous dumping spot was being converted into a temporary waiting area of the Dialysis Unit during the time of Health Minister’s visit.
Now the dumping area has now been shifted to the old building of the hospital, behind Civil Surgeon’s office where already other waste material of the hospital is being dumped. Meanwhile it was also learnt that Directorate of Supply and Disposal Department will soon be auctioning the raw material and other infrastructural tools being kept at the dumping zone. The auction is delayed for several months.
When asked about the same from Sub Divisonal Officer, Devinder Singh, he said, ‘’I am posted here on contractual basis; I do not have any powers to take any call on the issue. Ask other officials of the hospital management.’’
However Dr Rita Kalra, member of the hospital management said, ‘’All the raw material and other respective items dumped at dumping zone will soon be auctioned. We have already written to the Directorate of Supply and Disposal Department for the same who will conduct the bidding.’’
