Panchkula: In order to expedite work following a massive traffic in the area, Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has commenced the work leading to a parallel bridge in Sector 24-25, Panchkula also with the estimate for two more which has been sent for approval to the higher authorities.
The authorities have started the work related to the double laning of the 66 meter long and 2.5 crore budget bridge at Sector 24-25 which will be completed till the end of the year. The width of all the three bridges will be doubled from 7.5 meters to 15 meters.
Also the 800 meter long road leading from Sector 23 will be double laned soon which further joins with the National Highway 73. The authorities have made an estimate for the same of Rs 3.75 crore and have further sent it for approval to the higher authorities of the department. Soon after the approval of the estimate, tenders will be carried out further with the work related to its formation.
N K Verma, Superintending Engineer, HUDA said, “According to the master plan for the sectors situated near ghaggar and following huge traffic in the area, these bridges are now in the process of double lane.
The work related to sector 24/25 bridge will be completed till December.”
