Chandigarh: Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has taken a stern step to lay claim for smart city project which it missed last year. The department has sent notices to around 765 allottees in various sectors of Panchkula for violating the norms related to housing projects.
HUDA has sent redemption notice to all violators following which if no response will be given authorities will seal the property. According to officials if people want any change in their premises they are required to obtain prior permission from the department.
According to the survey report, around 150 house owners of Sector 4, Panchkula have been issued notice indicating the fine which varies between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 9 lakh.
Also notices have been given to 110 residents of Sector 2. In Sector 7, 85 house owners have been issued notice followed by Sector 8, 9 and 15 in which 55, 45 and 5 house owners have been given notice highlighting violation of building norms.
Vimal Deep, in charge, survey wing HUDA said, ‘’Earlier also notices were sent to allotees but they did not paid any attention to it and ignored it. Now redemption notice has been sent following which the property will be sealed if they will not respond to notices within 15 days.’’
In total 322 notices have been sent to those who have not got passed their housing maps and to those who have made changes and violations without any permission.
Around 225 notices have been sent to those who have not received occupation certificates from department.
Also 75 notices were sent to those who have not taken sewerage permission.ment in the content with the passage of time.”
