Chandigarh: BJP is misusing the MC machinery for the preparations of national president Amit Shah’s visit to Chandigarh, on Saturday. Shah will address the rally on Sunday at Ramlila ground in Sector 27.
Thousands of supporters are expected to throng the venue. The rally in being organised in the wake of forthcoming Chandigarh MC elections slated for December 18. Amit Shah is expected to arrive at 10:30 in the morning for the rally.
BJP Chandigarh state president Sanjay Tandon said, “We will show them the real strength of BJP. This will give boost to the morale of the party workers.” The preparation is being made a day before the visit of Amit Shah. The blatant misuse of government machinery was witnessed at the venue. The MC trucks, tractor-trolleys, workers and sanitation workers were seen transporting the BJP flags and other materials required to be placed at the venue.
The workers were seen levelling the ground either manually or using the JCBs. The sanitation workers were seen cleaning the area around the ground.
Cong to show black flags to Amit Shah
The Chandigarh Congress has decided to oppose visit of Amit Shah and will show him black flags. The decision has been taken at the meeting of Congress leaders held on Saturday under the leadership president Chandigarh Congress Pardeep Chhabra.
Chhbara said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are the two persons who are responsible for the untimely and irrational decision of banning the notes of the Rs 500 and Rs 1000.
