CHANDIGARH: Manjeet Singh Jalbuti, a longtime Congressman and a close associate of Jagmeet Singh Brar, who had left the Congress along with him today returned to the party.
Accompanied by the CLP leader Charanjit Singh Channi and PCC Vice President Kewal Singh Dhillon with Manjeet Singh Jalbuti met the PCC president Capt Amarinder Singh and AICC Secretary In charge for Punjab Asha Kumari today and expressed his confidence in party leadership.
Jalbuti said, it is important for every well wisher of Punjab to strengthen the hands of Capt Amarinder as he alone can provide the best leadership. He regretted that Jagmeet Brar had taken a suicidal step that will only damage his own political career. He said, Brar’s leaving the Congress has not made any difference to the party, but he has certainly finished his own political career.
Welcoming Jalbuti back into the party, Capt Amarinder said, this was a positive development and a message to all the right thinking people that every sincere and committed Congressmen should burry their individual differences in the interest of the party and the state.
