Panchkula: Mansa Devi Shrine Board is all geared up to celebrate the 201st Navratra fair from October 1 and this year the temple is also celebrating its 200 years of existence.
Meanwhile around 600 cops have been finalised to ensure the security for the upcoming Navratra Mela at Mata Mansa Devi Temple from October 1 to 10. Also as many as 50 home guards and women officials have also been appointed during the mela.
Also deputy commissioner, Dr Garima Mittal had already directed all the board members to see that the donations to the temple are updated on the website regularly, for which the accounts department have been given the responsibility.
Donations during the Navratras come in lakhs of rupees, with many devotees also parting with gold and silver ornaments. During the meeting, various necessary arrangements for the upcoming Navratra Mela were also discussed
‘’Kavita Paudwal will be attending the Navratra fair, to sing devotional songs on October 8. A total of Rs 50 lakh will be spent on the fair’’, said VG Goel, chief executive officer of the Shrine Board.
